Dear Friends,
The Melaka Prayer Network and the National Children Prayer Network would like to announce the Children in Prayer Workshop to be held here in Historical Melaka, the details as follows:
Date: 29 August (Saturday)
Time: 8.30am - 4.00pm
Venue: Praise City Church
WE have invited three dedicated childrens workers from Singapore namely David Leong, Dr. Cheah Fung Fong and Gwendolin De Rozario to minister to the children. Their bio data is in the flyer that i have attached with this email.
I attended the Children in Prayer workshop in Kuantan and i was amazed at how the children reached out and began to pray for the city and the nations. Many of us have, for too long relegated the kids to one corner thinking that they are only able to pray for their friends and their families. I came back from Kuantan with a great paradigm shift... the children are more than able to cry out to the Lord for our cities and our nations. I know that you are believing for great things for your children and i do hope that one of those things you are believing God for is for them to have a great hunger for the things of God. We are trusting and praying that each child will leave this workshop touched by the Spirit of God and hungry for more of Him in their precious lives.
This workshop is being held during the school break and as such it would be great if those from outstation could consider making Melaka as your holiday destination and finish off your holiday by attending the workshop on Saturday and then head home. We would be more than glad to give you all the locations where you can purchase and taste authentic Melaka food.
We are also encouraging children's church workers to take time to attend this workshop in order to be able to lead the children under their charge to greater intimacy with the Lord.
The Lord Bless You and Keep You and Make His Face Shine Upon You!

Prayer Points Targetting 2 Pillars: Education & Politics
1. For Christians to have a changed mind set. To be more proactive and be more involved in the areas of education and social justice.
2. Christian teachers and parents to have a renewed vision for mission schools. To take ownership of these schools and to inculcate christian values in the children and youth through involvement in PTAs/PIBGs.
3. To share with parents the importance of imparting good moral values and to make the home as training ground in the areas of relationships, responsibilities, teamwork, caring for one another and respect for people.
4. To speak and inculcate their sense of justice done to their peers when they see abuse or cruelty done to the latter and to stand up for justice and integrity.
5. To share with the youth their vision and purpose of life and help them to be responsible, obedient in behavior and aware of their political rights.
6. For Christians to do their part in society through volunteering their services and time for the needs of their neighbors and the environment.
